I use a variety of trauma healing techniques and modalities including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Havening, and Somatics. I also utilize Trauma-Based Play Therapy for youth. Learn more below.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessiong (EMDR) and Havening Techniques are both psychosensory approaches that are powerful and effective treatments for trauma.
These techniques use sensory inputs (bilateral eye movements, tapping, self-soothing touch) along with talking and visualizations to support processing and releasing information trapped in the mind and body, freeing people from disturbing images and body sensations, debilitating emotions, and restrictive beliefs. Once a traumatic memory is de-linked from the emotional and somatic content, the distressing components are removed, allowing us to navigate past events from a healed place.
Somatics or Somatic Therapy is a body-oriented approach that places the experiences within the body as the foundational point for healing from traumatic events.
I incorporate EMDR, Havening Techniques, and Somatic techniques into Trauma Therapy Healing to support the processing of trauma through using the wisdom of the body and neuroscience.
