(Oakland, Berkeley, San Leandro, Alameda)

Reconnect to your relationship with nature.
What ways can nature be incorporated into therapy?
Walk & Talk: Provide in-person “walking sessions” while on a local trail, beach, or pathway. (Most walk/talk sessions occur at Redwood Regional Park trails)
Park Play Therapy: Provide outdoor child therapy sessions at local parks instead of within the home or virtual space (Most park therapy happens at Dimond Park in Oakland).
Stroll & Talk: Provide outdoor perinatal/postpartum therapy sessions with new parents with baby(ies) (Most Stroll & Talk sessions happen at Lake Merritt in Oakland).
Provide exercises during virtual therapy to reconnect to the land by viewing natural images
Provide phone therapy sessions where you get to take a walk in your own neighborhood
“A walk in nature, walks the soul back home.”—Mary Davis
We have often felt a loss of connection to the natural world. Nature-based therapy works by connecting people with nature through a variety of activities that foster healing and growth. Ecotherapy, nature therapy, and green therapy are broad terms referring to any type of purposeful activity involving the natural world.
Nature therapy is a holistic approach to mental and physical health that uses the natural environment as an important tool for healing. It recognizes that humans are inherently a part of nature and our relationship with the natural world is one that is as old as time and is across all cultures.
We can incorporate nature into your healing journey in a variety of ways. Let me know if you are interested in this!

Hi, I’m Jess.
You deserve someone who truly sees you for you and supports you by asking the question, “what do you need in your healing journey?” and incorporating that into the therapy space. I have been on my own healing journey for quite some time and know how vulnerable it can feel to reach out for support, especially from a stranger. I meet you where you are at in this moment and we decide together what you would like therapy to look like and feel like. I utilize a radical mental health lens along with a wide range of therapy techniques to guide people in their personal healing. Learn more about me here. Learn more about my approach here.
