Meet Jess

Therapy that heals & reconnects

We all get disconnected sometimes; disconnected from the relationship we have with ourselves, our body, our friends, our family, our ancestors, our community, and the Earth. Therapy with me, is an invitation to heal & reconnect to all internal and external parts of ourselves.

You deserve a therapist that not only has experience in the “therapy seat” but also someone who has lived experience with mental health “issues” and has walked (and is still walking!) the path towards reconnection, radical mental health, and healing.

My name is Jess Wynn-Grant and I became a therapist because I know the depths of pain that this human journey can take us on and I believe we all deserve a guide to support ourselves back towards connection. Connection to ourselves, our community, and the greater universe. I love seeing people not just heal, but the impact that they make on their friends, family and community when they are living from their authentic self, rooted in their own story of healing and resistance.

I specialize in attachment-based, liberation-focused, embodied trauma healing and provide services to children, teens, and adults. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, specialized training, and experience in working with multiple types of trauma and populations. As a therapist who strives to use an antiracist, de-colonizing, liberation-healing framework, I believe it is pivotal to locate myself as a practitioner, rather than to portray myself as a “blank slate”. I am a white, cisgender, queer, and neurodivergent woman who lives and works on the unceded territory of the Lisjan Ohlone people (aka Oakland, CA). I am a partner, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a granddaughter, a friend. These identities shape me, the reasons why I do the work I do, and how I do it.
